Dr. Mark Giddarie is a board member at Smart Health Initiatives. Smart Health Initiative's mission is to  to transform community health through engagement, education, and empowerment. They create inclusive, welcoming spaces where individuals can access vital health resources, participate in meaningful wellness activities, and take proactive steps toward better health. 

Smart Health Initiative's Walk/Run events go beyond fitness—they are vibrant community experiences that provide free health screenings, essential health education, and a sense of belonging for all.

Dr. Mark Giddarie is a member of the Advisory Board - Board Of Directors at Voices for Children of Tampa Bay (VFC). VFC is dedicated to supporting and advocating for abused, neglected, and abandoned children in the foster care system. VFP's mission is to ensure these vulnerable children have access to the resources and enrichment opportunities necessary to feel safe, loved, and cared for. VFC envisions a world where every foster child has hope for a brighter future. VFC strives to fulfill each child's needs through a variety of programs that provide essential items, experiences, and services they might not otherwise receive. 

Dr. Mark Giddarie is Team Captain Corrollwood Day School at Family First Foundation - All Pro Dad. All Pro Dad's mission is to provide support and advocacy for abused, neglected, and abandoned children in the foster care system to ensure they have the resources and enrichment opportunities they need to feel safe, loved, and cared for.

All Pro Dad envisions a world where every foster child has hope for a brighter future and believes every child deserves the chance to feel like a kid.

Dr. Mark Giddarie proudly represents USF as an alumnus and has had the honor of serving on the board of USF's Alumni Association. The mission is clear: to cultivate a strong, enduring bond between the university and its alumni; to instill loyalty and pride in all current and future alumni; and to passionately champion excellence in teaching, research, and public service.

Dr. Giddarie is a proud brother and Lifetime Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men in the United States in 1906. During his active years, he served with distinction in various leadership and service roles, embodying the fraternity’s core principles of scholarship, manly deeds, and love for all mankind. His involvement included mentoring younger brothers, organizing community uplift initiatives, and supporting educational and civic programs aligned with Alpha’s mission to develop leaders and promote advocacy and service in underserved communities. Dr. Giddarie continues to reflect the spirit of Alpha in his professional, academic, and entrepreneurial pursuits.
